Montana and New Mexico are working hard to keep food local. Vermont tried that, but it was ruined by the influx of people with trust funds from NY, NJ, MA and CA bringing big box stores with them. It was once a thriving hippie community where you could get an apartment for $400 a month. That is all gone now. Let's hope the rich and pretentious don't come to Montana and New Mexico to "suburbanize" everything!
